Collection: Womens European Linen

Our European linen is woven from European Flax® certified fibres grown in France, Belgium and the Netherlands, where mineral-rich soil and generations of flax-farming expertise produce longer, stronger fibres than mass-market linen — giving every piece a soft handle, natural breathability and durability that holds up wash after wash, with full traceability back to certified European flax farms.

The collection spans linen dresses, linen tops, linen pants, linen skirts, jumpsuits and shorts in short, midi and maxi lengths, so you can build a full European linen wardrobe for everyday wear, resortwear or the office. Seasonal colourways are released alongside our signature neutral linen tones.

Yes — linen's naturally breathable weave and moisture-wicking fibres make our European linen clothing ideal for Australian summers, tropical holidays and humid coastal climates. The lightweight fabric moves air against the skin, keeping you cool without clinging.

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle with like colours, and line dry out of direct sun to preserve the fabric's natural fibres and colour. Linen naturally creases with wear — this is part of its relaxed character, though a cool iron on the reverse will soften creases if you prefer a smoother finish.

Yes. Our European linen is sustainably farmed and ethically manufactured under strict quality standards, and every Lilly Pilly Collection piece is designed in Byron Bay, Australia with a focus on timeless, natural-fibre clothing over fast fashion. Linen is also a low-water, biodegradable fibre, making it one of the more sustainable fabric choices in womenswear.

Linen does crease more readily than synthetic fabrics — this is a natural characteristic of the fibre, not a flaw, and softens as you wear the piece through the day. A cool iron on the reverse or a light steam smooths it out if you prefer a crisper finish.

Yes, European linen works year-round — wear it alone in warmer months for its breathable feel, or layer it under a knit or jacket through autumn and winter for a lightweight base layer.

With proper care, a European linen piece is designed to last for years, not just a season — the certified flax fibres are notably strong and durable, and linen actually softens and improves with wear rather than wearing out.
