Cashmere & Merino Wool - FAQ

What's the difference between the cashmere and merino wool pieces?

Cashmere is spun from the soft undercoat of cashmere goats, giving an exceptionally lightweight, plush feel, while our extra-fine merino wool has a finer fibre diameter than standard wool, making it softer and less itchy against the skin. Both offer excellent warmth without bulk.

Is the cashmere in this collection sustainably sourced?

Yes, we use up to 60% recycled cashmere where possible to reduce waste, alongside responsibly sourced virgin cashmere. This blend approach lets us maintain the same soft, luxurious hand-feel while lowering the environmental impact compared to conventional 100% virgin cashmere knitwear.

How do I care for cashmere and merino wool knitwear?

Hand wash in cold water with a wool-specific detergent, or dry clean if preferred, and always dry flat away from direct heat or sunlight. Avoid wringing or hanging wet knitwear, as this can stretch the fibres. Store folded rather than on a hanger to help retain shape.

Will my cashmere or merino piece pill over time?

Some light pilling is a natural characteristic of soft natural fibres like cashmere and merino wool, especially in high-friction areas like underarms. A cashmere comb or fabric shaver gently removes pills without damaging the knit, and pilling typically reduces after the first few washes and wears.

What styles are included in this collection?

This collection features our cashmere and merino wool knitwear, jumpers, cardigans and knit vests, designed for layering through cooler months. Styles range from lightweight fine-knit jumpers to more structured cardigans, so you can find the right warmth level for everything from mild autumn days to winter layering.
